The Swamp Cooler Harness is an all-in-one cooling solution for dogs exploring in hot conditions. This harness integrates our Swamp Cooler™ evaporative cooling tech with Ruffwear's reliable multi-use body harness platform. Ruffwear's signature strong leash connection points, high adjustability, quick-grab handle, and easy on/off features are elevated with cooling capability throughout the back panel and supportive chest/belly panel.

The Swamp Cooler Harness adds a cool factor to a harness designed to keep the adventure going, when the temps are high and your dog's stoke for exploration is even higher.

Three-layer construction absorbs water and promotes evaporative cooling.

PADDED HANDLE

Balanced and comfortable lifting and assisting with padded handle and load-dispersing chest/belly panel.

STRONG CONNECTIONS

Two leash connection points: an aluminum V-ring and reinforced webbing loop on back.

    Really helps my Lab

    I have a black Lab and we hike at least a couple of miles all year round. I live in the Midwest and the summers are brutal on large dogs, especially black dogs. I got him the Swamp Cooler and we have been out in 85 degree heat several times already this year. He tolerates the heat much better with the harness on. It has been proven to keep him cooler. I highly recommend it.

    Very good for hot climates.

    I live in the Okanagan Valley and my dog is very heat intolerant. One soak of this vest before we go out lasts a good hour before I need to wet it again. I just bring a bottle of water and we are good to go! Highly recommend. My dog is a 65lb lab and wears a medium/large.

    Beats The Heat

    Like other critics, I was initially skeptical of this harness’ cooling functionality, but I find that if you submerge it in cool/cold water before applying it, your dog tends to stay cooler anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour. Afterward , it’s just a matter of reapplying cold water again to reset its cooling feature.

    Works great

    Used this for my boxer that tends to get over heated on a trail run. Worked amazing and helped us stay out on the trail a little longer. Would definitely recommend this vest.
