The Overcoat is the classic cold-weather utility jacket, built with sturdy, burly materials to keep up with even the most active dog diving through brush and brambles. The wind- and water-resistant outer fabric sheds light moisture, while the interior recycled polyester fleece lining adds cozy warmth. Side-release buckles on both sides provide easy on/off, and a leash portal allows the Overcoat to be worn over all Ruffwear harnesses (and most other harnesses).

    Excellent quality

    I can’t even tell you how many coats had been lost in the woods due to worn out Velcro and a poor fit. The clips on this are a breath of fresh air. The details and quality make this well worth the money.

    Great jacket

    A well-made jacket, I love the little reflecting parts of it so they’ll stand out at night.. easy to put on and seem to fit well. Foxy has an extra small on, Charlie has a small and pearl has a medium on.

    Love the style and the fit. And thanks for adding the harness slit!

    This coat is one of 4 ruffwear coats that my dog has. I love how much attention RW gives to the ergonomics of a dogs body. The plastic clips make it easy to put on and take off. Much better than velcro. Great for rain and cold weather.

    Great jacket

    I bought this coat for my 1yo border collie to be ready for the cold winter ahead and we put it to the test for the first time today. My dog is usually harness-shy so I was afraid he would be upset about having a coat on, but it is so easy to put on and off that the whole operation took no time at all! Barley is free to run, jump, and chase after squirrels with complete freedom and zero chafing. Also, the color and reflective trim will prevent hunters from thinking my dog is a badger, so extra points for that.

    For reference, Barley weighs 40lbs and measures 26.5" around the chest - size S fits him perfectly
