Grip Trex™ Dog Boots

rugged, breathable

Color

Selected: Obsidian Black

I need

The Grip Trex dog boots set the standard in paw wear for dogs who hike, bike, run, or explore the great outdoors with their humans.

With the Grip Trex, those paws can go the distance thanks to the rugged and resilient Ruffwear-designed Vibram outsole with exceptional traction and protection on varied terrain. Breathable mesh upper provides ventilation, and the closure system combines hook-and-loop with hardware, cinching around the narrowest part of the dog’s leg to provide a secure fit.

It's a good idea to check the closure system and adjust fit as needed 15 minutes into your activity and throughout the adventure. Getting started with Ruffwear boots? Check out our helpful tips.

Set of TWO boots. Many dogs have wider front paws than rear paws. We offer our boots in sets of two so you can order the appropriate sizes for a good fit on both the front and rear paws.

    Great Boots

Bought these for bike rides on mixed concrete/asphalt bike rides. They seem to stay on once on and he doesn't seem to notice them.

    Fabulous hiking and walking shoes

I purchased these for our hikes and the sharp thorns that are all over. The shoes are great, no thorns have punctured through. I also purchased the socks to help the shoes go on easily. My dogs front paws are bigger than his back paws, so the recommended 2 sizes as correct! I have a 60lb bernedoodle, all fluff!

Easy to put on and stay on

Finally a set of boots that are easy to put on and then stay on on our 23 lb cockapoo mini, Lily. Bonus Lily doesn’t run and hide when we take these out. She lets us put them on without and fuss and we can take her outside for extended periods without worrying about her freezeing her paws, without boots she is lifting her feet without minutes. Being in Atlantic Canada this is a marjor plus seeing our winter runs from the end of October until mid April. Thank you ruffwear!

Side note: We have purchased many different brands and styles boots for Lily, available locally, but none of them really worked. The suspender style boots , and soft shelled style boots left no room for her paws to properly spread , and were difficulty to put on due to the narrow pointy tips, the Velcro didn’t last, and the insides were nut sewen tucked so would also rub on her legs , also and Lily would run from us when we would see them in our hands, showing us she didn’t like them and there were not comfortable for her. We tried another brand that seems better, with two Velcro straps and rubber bottom, allowed her feet to speed, but we’re still difficult to put on, and Lily would run and hide when she saw us pick them up.

Then we found the the Ruffwear Grip Trex dog boots, available for sale in Canada on there website. We chose the Grip Tex because of the vibram soles. We followed the measuring guide and ordered 2.0 inches for her front paws and 1.75 inches paws for her back paws. …

    These boots are great!

I put these on my dog Ollie and he did a couple hopping steps and then just looked up at me as if to say, “Okay, can we go now?”

We jogged only 2 miles because I wanted to make sure they weren’t causing any raw spots. No problems at all. This will be a game changer because Ollie loves to run but sometimes the pavement grinds his nails down too low. They will also protect his paws when the dirt in the canyon by our house is too hot.
