Used Dog Gear

RuffWorn™ is Ruffwear’s collection of used dog gear. Items are gently used and held to the same functional standards as new products. This helps keep gear in play and out of landfills as it takes on a new life of adventure with you and your dog. 

RuffWorn™ items go through a three-step process before they make it back out into the wild:

• Items are returned: Gear is returned in gently-used condition, whether it does not fit or is no longer needed.
• Gear is inspected: Our team evaluates the condition of items against four grading criteria: Excellent, lightly used, moderately used, and well worn.
• Relisted for adventure: Items are documented and organized for resale. 

Buying used allows us to keep dog gear out of landfills and in play. It's part of Ruffwear’s commitment to sustainability and our responsibility to our community and planet.

Buying used can be especially helpful for puppies who grow out of gear quickly, those with foster dogs, or dog-human duos who want to try out a new activity but aren’t quite ready to make the investment in brand new gear.
