The Doubleback™ Harness is a full-body dog lifting harness. It's a strength-rated belay harness that opens up new areas for dogs to explore with their humans that would otherwise be difficult to access. Strength-rated to 2,000 lbf or 8.9 kN, the Doubleback Harness is designed to be comfortable while aiding in lifting and lowering dogs in exposed areas, meaning your furry buddy can tag along when the climb gets steep.

    The Best For Adventurers

    Excellent harness. I love to enjoy outdoor adventures with my dogs. Jinx, an Airedale Terrier, was the first of my comrades to use the Doubleback harness during, hiking, trekking, camping, climbing, kayaking, mountain biking, skijoring, even paraglinding, as you can see in the video. The harness is really safe, it is built without compromises and this is very important for proper risk management.

    Helps with escape artist dog

    I have a pyrenees mix who is an escape artist. Standard collars and harnesses were not effective. He has not as of yet slipped this harness, though I don't recommend leaving any such dog unsupervised on a lead.

    As a public service side note, he runs off because he is sexually intact. I had another pyrenees mix that was neutered by the vet's timeframe, 6 months, and this is now known to cause curvature of the long bones and raise the likelihood of bone cancer and the need for TPLO plates. This was the case with my beloved dog, who only lived to be 6. Please, if you have a giant breed, do not neuter until they are done growing.

    A 'Do It' Harness

    Whisky was having a TPLO so I was looking for a harness that would support his hips. I read reviews and was happy to see that other people had the same idea with good results. Whisky and I won't ever be rappelling down a sheer face, but it's good to know that the harness fits him and gives him support while he heals.

    This harness has been a wonderful help to my senior German Shepherd.

    I purchased this harness last fall for my senior German Shepherd. He will be 13 years old this coming Saturday and was a very high drive working dog in his day. He now loves to chase the ball outside slowly. He has developed hind end problems and weakness. This harness has helped him so much as we can help lift him up by the red tab at the bottom as well as the handle during play time and walks. This has made it much easier for us and given him renewed self confidence.

    I highly recommend this harness . It is very well made and drys quickly and washes well.

    It was just what we needed

    Our dog was in the ER with a back injury. As this was the harness they used to support her, we made our way to Ruffwear Bend where she was fitted. The harness allowed us to carry her up and down our stairs which would have been almost impossible otherwise as she weighs 65 pounds. The harness is well made and the the straps that hold it in place are very secure.
