The Front Range Day Pack incorporates Ruffwear's signature radial cut saddlebags with the customer-favorite Front Range® Harness platform, making it an everyday pack staple in any dog's gear closet. Dogs can help shoulder the load thanks to the integrated padded harness and belly strap that adjust for exceptional fit and pack stability.

The saddlebag geometry creates a passive compression system that is formfitting and supports efficient load carrying. There are three leash attachment options: a V-ring and a tow loop on the back, and a reinforced webbing loop on the chest - great for redirecting dogs that pull when on leash.

With plenty of internal organization and trail-minded details, this comfortable day pack equips dogs to carry the day's provisions on hikes and frontcountry pursuits.

    Amazing for anxious/reactive dogs!

    I have two anxious dogs, one of them is also reactive. We hike A LOT :)

    I came up with the idea of using packs on my dogs based on what I am learning about sensory integration for dogs. For my anxious dogs, having a pack that puts a bit of pressure on the back, allows them to feel their body more, instead of getting hijacked by their thoughts. My dogs LOVE the packs and feel much more confident on the trail. We wear it hiking, but also for the evening walks around our neighborhood. Highly recommend trying this out. We started at 1 LBS (water) per side and hoping to up it in the future.

    I'm also soooo impressed by the quality of the product - every details is thought through. Thank you Ruffwear, your gear is the best!

    Perfect weekend pack

    Love this pack!! It was perfect for a quick little weekend camping trip (with the car close by) and held all of my dogs food and supplies so he was able to hike in his own gear. Bags on the sides were pretty deep, but definitely not deep enough to carry a bigger dogs food for more than 3 days (my dog eats 4 cups a day) so his food was a little tight in there, but we made it work! It fit him perfectly and he was comfortable having it on, didn’t rubber bother him at all!

    Back packing Shepherds

    Impressed with the quality and construction on the bags. I know there’s no one size it’s all for everybody’s pooches, but the bags are larger in the front by the dogs shoulders and they taper as the bags go back.

    When hiking through brushy areas, the bags tend to get stuck and catch the dog at the shoulders, where if the pouches were reversed with the thinner lower volume portion up front by the front shoulders, and then taper as you go back to more volume in the back would not get caught on the brush like we have been doing.
