Gnawt-a-Cone™ Throw Toy

natural rubber throw toy

Color

Selected: Blue Pool

Central Oregon’s Ponderosa pine trees offer a bounty for pinecone-obsessed canines and inspiration for the Gnawt-a-Cone. This resilient, natural latex rubber pine cone dog toy resembles the popular Pacific Northwest token, and it’s designed to engage and reward our canine friends. The faceted surface creates a fun, erratic bounce, and an easy-to-clean internal chamber holds peanut butter, biscuits, banana, or just about any treat your explorer goes wild for.

Check out the Gnawt-a-Stick™ and Gnawt-a-Rock™ - the other two toys in the Pacific Gnaw-west toy collection inspired by the natural surroundings in Ruffwear’s home of Bend, Oregon.

One Size: 3 in W x 4 in H (7.5 x 10 cm)

Our toys are designed to be interactive - it's just more fun that way. While our toys suit a range of play styles, dogs can be crafty and determined chewers, so supervised play is recommended. If any part of the toy becomes loose or detached, take the toy away and discard.

    Great Toy!

This became one of my dog's favorite, go-to toys right out of the gate. He loves its erratic bounce, since it never lands in a predictable spot. I really appreciate that it has holes on two ends, which provides a degree of safety with respect to an airway should it ever gets stuck in his mouth. I do wish that it came in more than one size; I have a larger Lab, and it can completely disappear in his mouth, which always makes me nervous. I've been impressed that it has also withstood my dog's chewing on it. He's not gentle on toys, but the rubber only has a few cosmetic blemishes on it. This could also be due, in part, that I've limited his toys access until recently, now that he's a more mature adult and out of his adolescence. Great toy, and I've already ordered one as a backup.

    Major loves it!

My big buddy major loves the Gnawt-a-cone the best out of all of the things we purchased. He likes to chase it and then go sit in the yard and chomp on it!

    Fetch and Eat!

My Labrador *loves* to eat his breakfast out of a food-stuffed toy. When I showed him the Gnawt-A-Cone, he thought it was a fetch toy, so now, it is! We'll eventually stuff it with his breakfast, but for now, he seems really happy to have something new to retrieve (that bounces funny!).

    Excellent chew/treat dispenser

Our teething 6month old, 30#, lab/pitty/mutt likes this toy and it has stood up well to his chewing. Love the shape of this toy, rather than the rounded "KONG" shape - this has little geometric facets all over that keep the toy from constantly rolling across wood floors.

    Toy and treat dispenser

This works great for freezing frozen wet dog food in for a nice crate treat for my schnauzer mix puppy. Also will use as a fetch toy eventually.
