Ruffwear's apparel features an active, tailored fit that hugs close to your dog's body, designed to move with their natural range of motion. Measurement is determined by your dog’s chest girth, measured around the widest part of the rib cage. Coverage may fit slightly shorter or longer depending on your dog’s proportions. If between sizes, size up for a more relaxed fit, or down for a more snug fit.

The Overcoat Fuse™ Insulated Vest streamlines cold-weather outings with an integrated harness for a secure, ready-to-go direct leash connection.

It handles rough terrain and underbrush with an abrasion-resistant shell that’s designed for all-weather protection. High-loft recycled polyester insulation delivers dependable warmth on chilly walks and everyday adventures.  The vest silhouette provides an accommodating fit, and side-release buckles make for easy on and off. Two leash attachment points, including an aluminum V-ring on the back and a reinforced webbing loop on the chest, offer versatility for different walking styles. Reflective accents and a light loop for the Beacon™ on the back enhance visibility in low-light conditions.

WHAT’S NEW: A new high-loft insulation for greater warmth and an improved outer shell material that is more durable while boasting a softer, quieter handfeel.

    A trusted vest

    My dog Molly has always preferred the comfort of the overcoat fuse, compared to all the other Ruffwear coats and harnesses that she wears, as she has been wearing the granite version for the last several years. Although she still wears the original vest, I replaced it with two more colors of the overcoat fuse.

    The fit and quality of Ruffwear is what brings me back time and again to ordering Ruffwear apparel line for Molly.

    Why don't Ruffwear vests cover the sides of the dog?

    I love everything about this vest, except the cut; it's too short on the sides. I'm not sure why Ruffwear does that; all their "vests" are skimpy on the sides. If they're being worn for warmth and rain/snow/mud protection, what is the point of not covering the sides of the dog? Everything else is great. I love the thick fabric, the quality, the soft fleece lining, and the sturdy built in harness with multiple leash attachment points. For reference, my female yellow lab weighs 65 pounds and has a 24" neck, 30.5" girth, 22" back length and is wearing a medium. This vest fits a little shorter in the back length than my other Ruffwear jackets.
